With “Sandy”, MediaMarktSaturn has developed a comprehensive and modern AI platform that creates a corporate and data protection compliant environment for the use of generative AI in the company. Sandy provides access to leading AI models from providers such as OpenAI, Google and Meta, ensures strict security and privacy protocols, and at the same time allows users to customize the platform’s settings and content according to their needs and knowledge with predefined “Beginner”, “Advanced” and “Expert” profiles. Employee productivity has been further optimized through an easy-to-use interface and more efficient workflows. By consolidating multiple AI model subscriptions into a single, efficient platform, the retailer realized significant cost savings. In addition, the increased efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes has resulted in increased sales. An internal study showed that since the implementation of Sandy in March 2024, approximately 2,250,000 minutes have been saved, which equates to approximately 1,562 days across all users.
